Mousse On The Roots Trick --
To get more root lift on wet hair, you can spray some hard-to hold gel on
the roots. Yep, mousse is a hard to hold gel that is difficult to spread around
evenly on the hair. So the makers of the product foamed it up calling it Mousse
(or foam in French as in chocolate mousse). In the process of making the
product easier to deliver and easier to use, this new product was born.
One of the problems with regular mousse is that it foamed up like a
shaving cream and you had to use your hands to apply the mousse. this method of
application covers the entire length of the hair shaft. The
Gel On The Roots Trick does not work
well with regular mousse. So yet another product improvement followed and
"spray-mousse" or "root-lift-mouse" was born.
With "spray-mousse" or root-lift-mouse" the mousse is sprayed directly on the
scalpwhere it "foams up" IN PLACE! No need for the
Gel On The Roots Trick. All you need to
do is hold the ends of you hair in your left hand (to be sure you don't get
mousse on the the ends) and spray the roots or you hair directly from the can.
Just like the Gel On The Roots Trick you have accomplished 2 things 1- root-lift volume and 2- no
mousse on the ends
which are free to move about naturally. The ends of you fine hair still have
their natural movement while the root-lift gives you the volume.
